Lexington Children’s Theatre
The Lexington Children’s Theatre is bringing a play to Wilmore Elementary! It will be May 18th. We would love it if you could send in $1 to help us pay for the play. This is an excellent experience for your child.
Thank you Celebration
Please join us for a Thank you Celebration May 20 at 1:40. We will celebrate our moms and dads. We will also celebrate the end of a wonderful first grade year. We would love for all parents to attend!
What we are learning about…
We are starting a “farm unit” where students get to decide what to buy to go on their farm. The students have money to spend, but have to buy the land, a house, a barn, a horse, fence, etc. The kids love making their own choices about what to buy! We have been continuing to work on synthesis and are very busy getting ready for the Thank you Celebration.

Asbury Field Trip
We had a great trip to the Asbury ropes course and Equine center. At the barn, we met a police horse in training. This horse walked on a teeter totter, walked up steps and even played soccer! Also, we watched some very talented vaulters, who could get on a horse without any help. We also learned how to take care of horses and everyone got to brush a horse. We also played a lot of teambuilding games. We had a great trip!
